Becoming a dog parent completely changed my life. When I adopted Rocco, his wellbeing became my top priority—and that passion led me to leave my career to pursue dog care and training full time. Working hands-on with hundreds of dogs showed me exactly what works, and it became clear that reward-based, science-backed training is the most effective and compassionate way to help dogs thrive.
Before becoming a trainer, I spent over a decade as a research scientist. That background taught me the importance of evidence-based practice, which is why I follow the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior’s gold-standard guidance on humane, modern training methods.
